Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about BoxerAdopt.org, rescue listings, and how you can help.

What is BoxerAdopt.org?

BoxerAdopt.org is a service of BoxerAdopt Inc, a registered non-profit organization. We provide a community-powered map and directory of Boxer-specific rescue organizations worldwide. Our goal is to make it easier for people to find, support, and connect with rescues that specialize in this energetic, loyal, and goofy breed.

Why Boxers?

Boxers are playful, affectionate, and deeply loyal dogs. They’re known for their expressive faces, boundless energy, and strong bonds with their humans. BoxerAdopt.org was created to honor that spirit and support the organizations that give Boxers a second chance.

Is there a cost to use or be listed?

No. BoxerAdopt.org is completely free to use and free to be listed. We’re here to support the rescue community — not to charge it.

Is my information private?

We do not sell or share the information listed on this site. However, BoxerAdopt.org is a public directory, and we cannot control who accesses or views the site.

Are you non-profit or for-profit?

BoxerAdopt.org is a service of BoxerAdopt Inc, a registered non-profit organization.

Can I make a donation to BoxerAdopt.org? How can I help?

We do not accept donations because it's not necessary. Instead, please use the Rescue Locator to find your closest rescue and donate or volunteer directly with them. You can help BoxerAdopt.org by sharing us on social media and by submitting rescues we may have missed. You can also contact us if you see something that needs updating.

How is BoxerAdopt.org funded?

BoxerAdopt.org is a simple educational resource and directory. Our expenses are minimal.

Can I purchase listings, metadata, or any information you’ve collected?

No. We do not sell data. This is an educational resource only.

Can I advertise on BoxerAdopt.org?

No. We do not run ads or accept payment to prioritize rescues.

Where can I get more information about Privacy & Terms?

See our Privacy & Terms section. If your question isn’t answered, please contact us. We pride ourselves on transparency.

Can anyone submit a rescue? How?

Yes! Click the Submit link in the navigation bar and fill out the form with your rescue’s details. Once submitted, your entry will be reviewed and added to the directory. We welcome rescues from any country — BoxerAdopt.org is proudly international.

Why do some rescues show up on the map but not in the list?

The map displays all approved rescues with valid location data. If a rescue appears on the map but not in the list, it may be missing a country or state field. We’re improving fallback logic so every rescue is visible in both views.

Are rescues members of BoxerAdopt.org? Is there a fee?

No. Rescues are not “members,” do not pay to be listed, and are not prioritized in our directory.

Can I submit a rescue outside the U.S.?

Absolutely! We welcome Boxer rescues from all countries. Our map and directory are designed to be globally inclusive.

How long does it take for a rescue to appear?

Most submissions are reviewed within 24–48 hours. If you don’t see your rescue after a few days, please reach out via the Contact page.

What if I notice a problem with a rescue listing?

If you see incorrect information, broken links, or anything that needs updating, please let us know using the Contact form. We appreciate your help in keeping the directory accurate.

What if a rescue prefers not to be listed?

If your organization does not wish to appear on BoxerAdopt.org, please reach out via the Contact page and we’ll promptly remove your listing.

How can I help?

You can help by submitting rescues, sharing the site with others, donating to organizations listed here, or volunteering your time. Every rescue listed has a web address — we encourage you to explore and support them directly.

How often is the site updated?

We update the directory regularly as new rescues are submitted or existing listings are corrected. Community feedback helps us stay accurate and current.
